Medical Malpractice
Medical malpractice claims are extremely complicated. Most medical malpractice claims that fall under Louisiana law must be brought within one year of discovery of the malpractice, but in no event later than within three years of the malpractice. This often means that you need to actively investigate whether or not you have been subject to medical malpractice. In Louisiana you must first submit your claim to a Medical Review Panel before filing suit in court. In order to prove malpractice, you will almost always need to retain a doctor in the appropriate specialty to review your case and testify as to whether or not the appropriate medical standard was followed. You will also need to determine if a fully informed consent was obtained from you prior to the medical procedure. We can assist you in determining if your injury was caused by or made worse due to medical malpractice.

Key Examples of Medical Malpractice:
 Quality of Life Loss
 Death
Loss of Limbs
 Misdiagnosis
